A tecnologia educacional avançou?

Na foto aparecem velhos participantes de uma associação de tecnologia educacional, inaugurada em 1982 e sediada em San Diego, CA. Esses educadores agitaram muito o uso de computadores em educação, na secretaria de educação do condado, na San Diego State University. Meu professor de Computer Education, Al Rogers, foi um desses agitadores. Outro foi meu velho amigo Bernie Dodge. Em 82 eu estava no mestrado de tecnologia educacional da SDSU e pude acompanhar de perto esses lustres educadores.

Nestes quarenta anos houve avanço significativo do uso de computadores em educação? Parece que não. Houve mudanças de ênfase, mas no passado houve soluções, hoje abandonadas, que prometiam mudanças significativas em educação. O que foi criado nos últimos anos não tem o mesmo apelo do que havia np passado.

Inteligência das mão

Frank R. Wilson, em The Hand: How its use shapes the brain, language, and human culture, tem um capítulo dedicado aos mestres de teatros de marionetes. Os bonecos que se movimentam magicamente ilustram a inteligência das mãos. Um pouco do que Wilson examina em tal capítulo pode ser visto num vídeo que acabo de encontrar. Em post futuro vou comentar o que diz Wilson e o que é mostrado no vídeo. Por agora fico apenas com a indicação do vídeo.

Blogs sobrevivem

Já comentei aqui a possível morte dos blogs. Comentei também, anos atrás, que havia um imenso cemitério de blogs, abandonados por seus autores mas ainda encontráveis na web. Para considerar a questão, convém dar uma olhada numa matéria cujo título é Why We Should Start a Blog.
